The Great Mosque

This royal residence was also home to French heads of state until 1870 and is one of the major backdrops to the history of Paris and of France.

Another Parisian icon located right along the picturesque River Seine, the Notre-Dame Cathedral is considered a Gothic masterpiece. Going to the top of the Notre-Dame is such a popular activity, and there’s so little space at the top, that the number of people has to be restricted. If you want to get there, you may have to wait for a long line.
